Firm updates not working in Roland DG Connect
Problem: In Roland DG Connect, clicking the [Firmware] tab > [Update Firmware] does not start firmware update process.
Cause: The required certificate may not have been installed.
Normally, certificates are automatically installed by the OS, but in rare cases they may not be automatically updated due to the network environment or other factors.
Solution: Follow the instructions below to manually install the certificate.
1. Click here to download the certificate to any location.
2. Open the [Certificate Manager Tool] by either procedure A or B below.
A-2-1. On the desktop, press [Windwos] key + [R].
A-2-2. Type [certmgr.msc] and click [OK].
B-2-1. Click on the [magnifying glass] icon next to the [Start Menu].
B-2-2. Type [certmgr.msc] and click [certmgr.msc].
3. From the left tab on the [Certificate Manager Tool] screen, select [Trusted Root Certificate Authorities] > [Certificates].
4. Right-click on the [Certificates] folder and select [All Tasks] > [Import].
5. Click [Next] on the [Certificate Import Wizard] screen.
6. In the [File name] field, click [Browse] and select the certificate file downloaded in step 1.
7. Once the certificate file has been selected, click [Next].
8. Click [Next].
9. Click [Finish].
10. If the certificate has been imported successfully, a pop-up window will appear.
11. Click [OK].
12. Start Roland DG Connect and click [Update Firm].
