VersWorks Setting BackUp: Overview of VersaWorks Setting BackUp
Automatically backs up the current VersaWorks setting files.
This makes it easy to restore VersaWorks settings if the PC suddenly becomes inoperable, or if VersaWorks is reinstalled.
The latest VersaWorks settings are automatically backed up every 24 hours.
Requirements for backup
- Roland DG Connect Hub must be version 2.3.0.2 or later.
- VersaWorks must be version 6.16.01 or later.
- Roland DG Connect Hub 2.3.0.2 or later must be installed on the PC on which VersaWorks is installed.
- You must be signed up for Roland DG Connect Hub.
- Roland DG Connect Hub must be running and VersaWorks must not be running during backup.
- Must subscribe to Professional or Premium plan (Professional plan allows up to 3 PCs to back up VersaWorks settings; Premium plan allows up to 10 PCs to back up VersaWorks settings)
VersaWorks setting data backup Timing
- When "Backup" is clicked manually.
- Automatically backed up at PC startup (when Roland DG Connect Hub is started). Note: VersaWorks must not be running.
- Automatically backed up when 24 hours have passed since the last backup Note: Roland DG Connect Hub must be running and VersaWorks must not be running.
How to restore backed up setting file
- Restore VersaWorks setting by selecting "Restore" from Rolnad DG Connect Hub (do not launch VersaWorks when restoring).
- Download the backup file from Rolnad DG Connect Web and restore the file manually.
What you can back up
- VersaWorks device registration information
- Queue print settings for each device registered on VersaWorks
- Job print settings for each device registered on VersaWorks
Note: If the location of the original data file of a job that has been changed since it was backed up, the print settings of the job cannot be opened.
