Encoder/Linear Scale Cleaning

This guide will walk you through the process of locating and cleaning the encoder scale, this is
a very short procedure and easy to complete.

Step One (Locating the Encoder Scale):

The encoder scale is located behind the metal bar going across the bed of the machine, it is stood
up vertically and looks like a strip of film. See below the images of the location in RED.

As you can see from the images above, the encoder scale sits just behind the metal bar and just
in front of the grooved rubber belt.

Step Two (Cleaning the Encoder Scale):

Cleaning the Encoder scale is very simple, you will need some lint-free cloth and using the cloth just gently clean both sides of the strip across the machine moving from the right toward the left.
