Solution

With the "Input" settings we define the conditions on how jobs should be transmitted to PrintAutoMate.  The section "Settings" - "Input" in PrintAutoMate does contain a number of possible way's on how jobs via the local running Input Manager application should be transmitted to PrintAutoMate.

  1. Go to your PrintAutoMate environment https://pa.rolanddg.com/Your_Environment
    1. Login with your admin account
  2. Go to "Settings" - " Input" here will see on the left two main type of Input ConnectorsScreenshot

      1. Each Input Connector does have it's own Parameters from which you can start building the Automation Rules
    2. 8 individual hot folders
      1. For each hot folder dedicated parameter set can be defined, translating the file name taxonomy.  Each of the 8 hotfolders is working on the base of file name structure = taxonomy

          1. Select the parameters from the "All Parameters" pane and with the arrow buttons you can move them to the "Job Filename Variable" pane.  With the arrows "up" and "down" next to the "Job Filename Variable" you can change the order of the parameters.
          2. In the example the expected filename will be Media-Size-Color-Quantity or iPhone-13Pro-Black-100
          3. The "-" symbol in the naming can be chosen in the "Separator" field

Check

After uploading orders, you can check the correct functionality in the Orders View. The correct values should appear in the corresponding column.

Example is for "Media-Color-Size-Quantity"
