Difference between "Job Filename Variable" and "Fix Hot Folder Values"

Why or when should I use the variable or the fix hot folder values in Input Settings.

Solution

In the "Settings" "Input" settings on hot folder level you have "Job Filename Variable" and "Fix Hot Folder Values".

1. With "Job Filename Variable", we indicate a file name taxonomy structure which can vary in Size - Color - Quantity - ...
2. With "Fix Hot Folder Values", we can set fix values which will be assigned the automatically in the "Automation Rules"
   1. Example the quantity of prints should always be 100.
      1. For "Hot Folder 1" we defined variable values like "Media", "Size" and "Color" from the "All Parameter" pane and moved them to the "Job Filename Variable".  We selected the "All Parameter" - "Quantity" and moved it to "Fix Hot Folder Values" with a given value of 100.  This will result in an Imposed PDF of 100 copies of the certain design.
