How to create user accounts on PrintAutoMate

Question

Account creation in Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate and what are the different user profiles.

Pre-Request

1. Having an active Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate environment

Solution

If you didn't create already any user, please go to your Roland DG Connect account and click the PrintAutoMate button.  You will be forwarded to your PrintAutoMate environment.

If you already did create your environment, then visit the https://pa.rolanddg.com/your_environment_Name.

In your environment go the the menu Settings - Users

• Add "New User"
• Enter a Username -- the username should have the format of an email address
• Select a Role for the user, available users roles,  we already have defined some key privileges for the 3 available user profiles, but these can be overwritten
  
  • Admin ==> it's good to give the admin all the rights, then you can access the environment direct, without going to Roland DG Connect.
  • Power User
  • Operator
• Define a password
• Assign a location of the user
• Set the correct rights for the user.
  • 
• Save

Now a user is created which can be used for the InputManager, OutputManager to login in your Environment.  Depending on the given rights, the user will have less or more access.
