The firmware update function allows you to update the firmware of your device through Roland DG Connect.
By updating the firmware, you may be able to improve issues and enhance operational stability. Please check the current version and the latest version, and if your firmware is outdated, perform the version upgrade.
Depending on the model, the method of updating may vary, so please check the message displayed on Roland DG Connect and follow the instructions for firmware update.
1.Firmware version
The current firmware version of your device and latest firmware version are displayed. If the current version is different from the latest version, the "Firmware Update" button will be shown.
2.Release Notes
You can check the changelog for the latest version to see the updates and changes.
3.Update Firmware
The firmware can be updated. To update the firmware, click on the “Update Firmware” button with the secondary power off of printer.
Clicking the “Update Firmware” button will automatically update the printer's firmware via the Roland DG Connect Hub. The Roland DG Connect Hub should remain activated until the upgrade is complete.
If the firmware update fails during the process due to the network environment or other factors, upgrade the firmware from the Roland DG Connect Hub or perform the firmware update again using the method described in “4” below.
4.Update Firmware
The firmware file can be downloaded. And the firmware can be updated from the downloaded file by specifying the IP address of the printer.
Please update the firmware with the secondary power off.
