Configure the Output Settings in Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate
Question
Why should I define parameters to the Output Settings. What is the result of these parameters
Pre-Request
- Having an active Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate environment
- Having an active Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate account
- Having Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate Output Manager Installed
Solution
Via the Output Settings you define the way how a PDF is being forwarded to VersaWorks. You can also enrich the Automation Rules by setting a Printer Type for your output device.
Note : If you've defined a printer type on you jigs, then you should as well define a printer type to your output channel.
- Go to your PrintAutoMate environment - Settings - Output Settings
- Select the username for whom you would like to enrich the output towards VersaWorks
- For each output channel printer or hotfolders parameters can be set
- Output PDF rotation 180 degrees
- For some reason, for some printers the zero point is not right but left, so this can be defined
- Crop the PDF to be printed in the most optimal time saving way
- Assign a PrintType to the output device. This will help to filter down the jobs to the correct jig - printer - user. PrintType is part of the master data.
