How to place objects on the artboard

Question

How can I place images, shapes on the ArtBoard

Pre-Request

1. Minimum release version : Roland DG Connect Designer v2.0
2. Valid Roland DG Connect ID
3. Having a document setup

Solution

Once you've defined a document and you artboard is visible you can start adding an number of assets to your artboard.

In general you just click the asset you would like to add and it will appear on the Artboard.

Once you click one of the key asset library's a menu will open in which you will see the available assets or functions.

Available assets are

1. Text
   1. Click the "Add Text" to start adding text your Artboard
   2. 
2. Path
   1. Click a predefined "Path Shape" or click the "Pen tool" for adding your designed shapes.
   2. When using the "Pen tool", when finished with editing, you can click "End Editing" or "Double" click on the artboard to end the pen tool.
   3. 
3. Shapes
   1. Select a Clipart and it will appear on the artboard canvas ready to be edited 
   2. 
4. Clipart
   1. Same as with "Shapes", click the "Clipart" you want to use and it will appear on the artboard. 
   2. 
5. Images
   1. Same as with "Shapes" click the image and it will appear on the artboard
   2. 

**Patterns can be used to colorise or assign special effects to your loaded assets
