How to edit a shape
Question
How and what can be edited from a placed shape
Pre-Request
- Minimum release version : Roland DG Connect Designer v2.0
- Valid Roland DG Connect ID
- A template or design with shapes
Solution
- Click the shape you want to edit, tree mains way's of editing shapes
- Fill color
- Fill pattern
- Double click and edit vector wise, have the ability to fill with color or pattern and or stroke with color and pattern
- Once you have clicked the shape object a dedicated panel will appear next to the Left Icon menu bar.
- In the given first screen
- You can select a shape, which will be placed on the Artboard
- You can select Fill Color - Stroke Color - Opacity
- In the Color panel from Fill and Stroke
- you can select a Solid Color or a Pattern which can be filled with a color as well.
- you can select Add Structural - which will apply structural ink on top of the coloured asset
- you can select Knockout - which will knockout any underlaying color or structural pattern from the selected Shape.
- you can assign No Color
- you can create own colours
- In the Pattern panel your can
- Select a pattern which will be used to fill the selected shape with a selected pattern
- you can color the pattern
- you can Add Structural on top of the pattern
- you can define the size of the pattern
- you can define the offset and angle in which the pattern should appear in the shape.
