What is Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate？

PrintAutoMate is a software service that seamlessly manages the entire process from acquiring data from e-commerce, creating print data easily, assigning print tasks to operators, to executing printing with a single click.

"For example, it is useful in the following workflow:

1. Customers order their desired products from the e-commerce site.
2. The order information is automatically sent to the headquarters.
3. There are two printing locations, and operators are assigned based on the product's delivery destination.
4. The operator sets the target object in the output device, performs the printing, and creates the product.
5. The finished product is sent to the delivery destination."

Benefits of Using PrintAutoMate

1. You can easily adjust the layout of jigs on the website and freely arrange the print data. There is no need to change the design data.
2. By setting rules for the created data names, the jigs to be used and the operators to be assigned are automatically allocated, greatly reducing management effort.
3. You can manage the data of the number of prints on the website. There is no need to count how many copies of the data have been printed.
4. Printing can be done with a single click. The operator sets the jig in the printer, sets the data, and completes the printing in three steps. No skilled experience or tricks are required, and anyone can print as an operator.

Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate includes three apps.

1. Web app that operates in the Cloud

This assigns persons responsible for the work of the received orders, creates fixing jigs for the object, and outputs print data to the RIP.

2. Windows app which processes order data received from e-commerce or other order receiving system, and loads it into PAM

The name is "Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate Input Manager." This monitors the contents of the specified folder for the presence of files, and immediately transfers any detected files to the Web app.

3. Windows app that sets the print data save destination, and delivers print data to the RIP

The name is "Roland DG Connect PrintAutoMate Output Manager." This detects the VersaWorks input folder and presets it as the output destination for print data. When an output device is changed or added, the preset is automatically updated. For other RIP, the folder for delivering data to the RIP is set manually.
