Applying structural ink to an inverted selected image part - Advanced 1 _ Vol.07
Question
How can I apply a structural pattern to a selected image part as well to the inverted selection from the initial selection.

- Valid Roland DG Connect ID
- DIMENSE Module is active
Solution
Advanced 1 = Make a selection in an image apply a pattern to the selection, invert the selection and apply a different pattern to this selection
- How to movie
- Setup your Design with the DIMENSE Module
- Load an image
- Double "Click" the Image or "Click" the "Edit" button in the Image asset window
- By doing this the "Edit Image" panel will open
- Select the "Selector" tool
- "Unclick" the "Select Image" selector
- "Click" the selector "Keep original selection after inverse" ==> This will make it possible to inverte your made selection
- Inorder to select multiple area's, you can "Click" the "+" icon or hold the "Shift" Key.
- Deselecting a part, maybe because you selected elements which you don't want to have structural ink assigned you "Click" the "-" icon or you make a key combination of "Shift" + "Option"
- Select the parts were you would like to assign a pattern
- Select "Fill Color"
- Select a "Solid" color or "Pattern"
- Select "Stroke Color"
- By default Black is assigned, if you don't want a color "Click" none or select "Structural Ink" or any other color
- The area is filled with the selected color or pattern
- "Click" the "Invert" button
- Select "Fill Color"
- Select a "Solid" color or "Pattern"
- Select "Stroke Color"
- By default Black is assigned, if you don't want a color "Click" none or select "Structural Ink" or any other color
- The area is filled with the selected color or pattern and the borders are having a color or no color assigned.
