What You Can Do with VersaWorks Remote
Using the Roland DG Connect website, you can do the following remotely:
- Add print jobs to VersaWorks 7

Start printing jobs already loaded in VersaWorks 7
As long as VersaWorks 7 is running and the printer has media loaded, you can send print jobs remotely—even from outside the office.

*To send print data stored in the cloud directly to VersaWorks 7, the cloud service must be a natively integrated service.

Conditions for Using VersaWorks Remote
- Roland DG Connect Hub version 3.1.2.0 or later must be installed on the PC that has VersaWorks 7.
- VersaWorks must be version 7.3.0 or later.
- When adding or printing jobs from VersaWorks Remote, Roland DG Connect Hub must be running on the PC with VersaWorks 7 installed.
- It is necessary to be signed in to Roland DG Connect Hub.
- VersaWorks Remote features are not available via mobile applications.
- Supported file formats : PDF, EPS, PS, JPEG, TIFF, PNG
VersaWorks Remote Screen
- The PC name where VersaWorks 7 is running (as configured in Connect Hub) is displayed.
- The printers registered in VersaWorks 7 are shown.
- Queue folder for VersaWorks 7 corresponding to the selected printer can be selected.
- Refresh the view of the selected queue folder in VersaWorks 7.
- The names of print data stored in the selected queue folder of VersaWorks 7 are displayed.
- Use this button to delete print data. Deleted data will also be removed from the input folder of VersaWorks 7.
- Use this button to add print data to the specified queue folder of VersaWorks 7. Depending on the data size, it may take several minutes to complete the addition.
- Use this button to print the selected print data in VersaWorks 7.
How to Add Data to VersaWorks 7 Using VersaWorks Remote
- Open Roland DG Connect, then select the PC name where VersaWorks 7 is running, the printer, and the queue folder to which you want to add data.
Click “Add”, and select the data you wish to upload. -
Click “Add” after confirming the queue folder settings.
If a communication error occurs, please make sure that VersaWorks 7 and Roland DG Connect Hub are running.
Also, depending on the size of the data, it may take several minutes before the data is successfully added to VersaWorks.
Please click the Refresh button to confirm whether the data has been added.
How to Print from VersaWorks 7 Using VersaWorks Remote
- Open Roland DG Connect, and select the PC name where VersaWorks 7 is running, the printer, and the queue folder.
Select the print data to be output, then click “Print”. - Confirm the data to be printed, then click “Print.”
If a communication error occurs, please make sure that VersaWorks 7 and Roland DG Connect Hub are running.
Example Use of VersaWorks Remote

By setting the queue folder in VersaWorks 7 to [RIP and Print], it is possible to automatically execute printing when data is added via VersaWorks Remote.
