I want to edit Cliparts and recolour them or assign a glossy pattern to selected elements _Vol.12

Question

How can I edit clipart in Roland DG Connect and apply to a selected element a Glossy Pattern

Pre-Request

  1. An active Roland DG Connect Subscription on Roland DG Connect Designer Visual Communication Module
  2. Have a new design ready

Solution

Within Roland DG Connect Designer visual communication module you can edit clipart with the SVG editing function.  This function let you convert a clipart art is a full vectorial editable element.  Just by selecting the shape or element you can re-color or add a pattern on top of it.

  1. New Design
  2. Go to the "Clipart" tool
  3. Select a clipart, which will be placed on the artboard
  4. "Double" click the Clipart 
  5. Select the elements or use the "layer panel" to select the correct element
  6. If you want to edit the selected element you can double click on the element and your element will turn in a vector base asset.  Use the "path" tool.
  7. Select "Fill Color"
    1. you can assign a new color to the selected element
    2. you can use the "Add Special Layer" function to add "Pattern Gloss" to your selected element
