How can I apply a CutContour or PerfCutContour to an outline text or to an selected element from an asset.

1. An active Roland DG Connect Subscription on Roland DG Connect Designer Visual Communication Module
2. Have a new design ready
3. An Clipart or Asset or Image or Element

Solution

Within Roland DG Connect Designer visual communication module you easily apply a CutContour or PerfCutContour to a selected part from an asset or to outlined text.

1. Create a new design
2. To a Shape
   1. Place a shape on the artboard
   2. Select a the shape
   3. Select the shape on the artboard
   4. Go to "Stroke Color"
   5. Select the CutContour or PerfCutContour color
   6. Apply a width -- normally for CutContour or PerfCutContour this is 0,25 points
3. To an element from a clipart
   1. Place a clipart on the artboard
   2. Select the clipart
   3. Double click the clipart
   4. Select the element from the clipart to which you would like to assign CutContour or PerfCutContour
   5. Go the "Stroke Color"
   6. Select the CutContour or PerfCutContour color
   7. Apply a width -- normally for CutContour or PerfCutContour this is 0,25 points
4. To an outlined text
   1. Place text on the artboard
   2. Click "Create Outline"
   3. Go to "Layers" uncheck the text layer
   4. Select the outlined text elements
   5. Go to "Shapes"
   6. Go to "Stroke Color"
   7. Select the CutContour or PerfCutContour color
   8. Apply a width -- normally for CutContour or PerfCutContour this is 0,25 points
