Can we create position guides or jigs within Designer

Solution

Yes, with an active Roland DG Connect Designer Object Decoration Module you can create jigs or position guides for your flatbed uv printing devices

Enter Roland DG Connect Designer
In the Dashboard screen click "New Position Guide"
You will enter the canvas with on the right side a side menu asking to
1. Select your flatbed device and set the starting position - most often this will be right under
FIRST Layer element = Jig Layer
1. Set your jig size dimensions
2. Set the jig color - this is just a visual reference
SECOND layer element = Object Layer
1. The Object layer, will hold the objects
  1. Set the object size
  2. Set the starting position from the first object starting from your selected Starting position
  3. Set Margins between objects
  4. Set a default rotation for the object placeholders
THIRD layer element = Image Layer
1. Define the size of the image box = the place were the image will be printed on your object
2. Define the position of the image in the image box
  1. This can be done by clicking one of the 9 position points
  2. This can be done by entering and exact value
3. Set a default rotation
4. Mirror
5. Define how the image should be scaled in the Image Box
6. Set if needed a bleed value
Create your position guide
1. You have 3 options to create a position jobs
  1. Create Object and Image places 1 by 1
  2. Create Object and image places holders in a defined number or rows and columns
  3. Fill the Position guide with the possible amount of Object & Image Placeholders
