How to use Roland Color System Library
The Roland Color System Library is Roland DG's original spot color library, consisting of over 1,000 spot colors.
The library's feature is that you can easily create color charts with your printer. Unlike commercially available color charts, this color chart allows you to almost exactly check the colors that can be printed on your printer and your media (there will be slight color differences due to the condition of the printer and media). By selecting a color from this color chart and creating artwork with that color, you can reproduce the intended color almost exactly.
The Roland Color System Library is available in the following six types according to ink type.
- Roland Color System Library: Color Chart Library for Color Matching of Color Printing
- Roland Metallic Color System Library: Color chart library for color matching of silver (MT) ink-equipped machines.
- Roland MetallicTexture System Library: Texture library for machines equipped with silver (MT) ink.
- Roland Texture System Library: Texture library for machines equipped with gloss ink (GL).
- Roland Grapac Brio-coat Library: Texture library created based on Bri-o-coat® for machines equipped with gloss ink (GL).
- Roland Orange Color System Library: Color chart library for color matching of machines equipped with orange (OR) ink.
*Texture printing is a method of printing a registered pattern using special inks. It cannot be used for color matching like a color chart.
