Roland DG Connect Setup Guide -- For Windows +USB cable --
Roland DG Connect Hub is software that uploads the operational status of the printer and other information to the cloud environment. If Roland DG Connect Hub is not running or if you are not signed in, you will not be able to view the device status on Roland DG Connect.
Before starting your daily work, please make sure that Roland DG Connect Hub is running.
Additionally, for managing licenses in VersaWorks 7, it is mandatory to register a Roland DG Connect ID when using VersaWorks 7. Please make sure that you install Roland DG Connect Hub and complete the ID registration.
If you are using a Windows PC and connecting the printer and PC with a USB cable, please refer to the following procedure.

Setup instructions if you are using a Windows PC and connecting your printer and PC with a USB cable
There are four steps to set up Roland DG Connect.
1. Download and Install Roland DG Connect Hub.
2. Create a new Roland DG Connect ID.
3. Device set up on Roland DG Connect Hub.
4. VersaWorks 7 Installation and License Authentication
1. Download and Install Roland DG Connect Hub
To use Roland DG Connect, Roland DG Connect Hub Windows application is necessary for
connecting your printer with the cloud. Please download the latest version of Roland DG Connect Hub in this step.
1-1 Click the link below to start downloading Roland DG Connect Hub Installation file.

1-2 Extract the downloaded ZIP file and start the installation by clicking on RolandDG_Connect_Setup.exe in the extracted folder.
1-3 Complete the installation process by following the installation wizard.
Depending on the PC settings, a security alert may appear from the Windows firewall. If a warning
appears, check "Private networks" and "Public networks" and click "Allow access".
2. Create a new Roland DG Connect ID
In this step, you create a Roland DG Connect ID. If you already have
your Roland DG Connect ID, please pass this step and proceed to step 3.
2-1 Start Roland DG Connect Hub from Windows Start Menu.
2-2 Click “Register” button on the right.
2-3 Enter your Email Address (Roland DG Connect ID) and Click “Send verification code”
2-4 You will receive an Email with a verification code as below.
2-5 Enter your verification code and click “Verify Code”.
2-6 Enter or select all the necessary information and click “Create”.
2-7 Splash screen appears. Depending on the PC settings, a security alert may appear from the Windows
firewall. If a warning appears, check "Private networks" and "Public networks" and click "Allow
access".
3．Device set up on Roland DG Connect Hub
3-1 If you are installing a new driver: Do not connect the PC to the printer with the USB cable yet.” From “Register Device,” select “Specify by USB Driver".
*If the driver is already installed: Proceed to step 3-4.
3-2 Download the software package for your printer from “Download Software Package”.
3-3 Unzip the downloaded software package, click on menu.exe and execute “Install”.
3-4 After the installation is complete, connect the PC to the printer with a USB cable. Click “Specify by USB driver” again, select the printer you are using, and register it.
Registration is complete when the screen appears as shown below. Click the Roland DG Connect icon and then click "Open" to start Roland DG Connect.
4. VersaWorks 7 Installation and License Authentication
4-1 Click the "VersaWorks 7" icon and then click "Install" to download the VersaWorks 7 installer. Once all files have been downloaded, click "VersaWorks7.part1.exe" to install VersaWorks 7.
4-2 When you start VersaWorks 7, the license authentication screen shown below will appear. Make sure that Roland DG Connect Hub is running, then click "Online Authentication" to authenticate the license for VersaWorks 7.
