Roland DG Connect Hub is software that uploads the operational status of the printer and other information to the cloud environment. If Roland DG Connect Hub is not running or if you are not signed in, you will not be able to view the device status from Roland DG Connect.

Before starting your daily work, please make sure that Roland DG Connect Hub is running.

Additionally, for managing licenses in VersaWorks 7, it is mandatory to register a Roland DG Connect ID when using VersaWorks 7. Please make sure that you install Roland DG Connect Hub and complete the ID registration.

For mobile app users: If you created your Roland DG Connect ID using the mobile app but have not yet installed the Roland DG Connect Hub on your PC, please download and install the Hub on your PC and register your device to view your device information data in Roland DG Connect.

 

If you are using a Windows PC and connecting the GS2-24 and PC with a network cable, please refer to the following steps.

There are four steps to set up Roland DG Connect.

1. Create a new Roland DG Connect ID.

2. Download and Install Roland DG Connect Hub.
3. Device set up on Roland DG Connect Hub.

4. VersaWorks 7 Installation and License Authentication

 

1. Create a new Roland DG Connect ID.

To use VersaWorks 7, you need the Roland DG Connect Hub Windows application, which connects your device to the cloud. Please follow the steps below to download the latest version.

1-1 Click the link below to open the Roland DG Connect website:

1-2 Click “Sign Up” to create a new Roland DG Connect account.

1-3 Enter your Email Address (Roland DG Connect ID) and Click “Send verification code”

 

1-4 You will receive an Email with a verification code as below.

 

1-5 Enter your verification code and click “Verify Code”.

 

1-6 Enter or select all the necessary information and click “Create”.

1-7  Log in to the Roland DG Connect website using your registered account.

2. Download and Install Roland DG Connect Hub

2-1  Click the download icon in the upper-left corner of the Home screen, then download and install Roland DG Connect Hub.

2-2 Launch the Roland DG Connect Hub and sign in to the Roland DG Connect Hub using the ID and password you created in Roland DG Connect web.

 

3．Device set up on Roland DG Connect Hub

 

3-1 Select ”Select from auto-detected device" on the "Register device" screen. 

 

3-2 Detected devices will be displayed. Select the device you want to register and click “Register”.

 

3-3 If no devices are found on the network, select "Search by IP address" and enter the IP address of the printer (device) to register it.

3-4  Click the printer driver icon, download the printer driver, and run the installation.

When the following window appears, select [Install], [Roland DG GS2-24] for the Model, and [IP_(AUTO)] for the Port, and then click [Start].

 

4. VersaWorks 7 Installation and License Authentication

 

4-1 Click the link below, review the license agreement, and click “Agree.”

4-2  Download the five files on this page and run the installation.

 　 

4-3 When you start VersaWorks 7, the license authentication screen shown below will appear. Make sure that Roland DG Connect Hub is running, then click "Online Authentication" to authenticate the license for VersaWorks 7.
